Ülkede 1990’lı yıllarda yaşanan savaşın izlerini silmek ve başkent Saraybosna’yı yeniden kültür-sanat merkezi haline getirmek amacıyla düzenlenen festivalin açılışında bu yıl da birbirinden ünlü konuklar ağırlandı.
Birleşmiş Milletler Bilim, Eğitim ve Kültür Örgütü (UNESCO) himayesinde düzenlenen festivalin 25’inci yılına özel olarak geleneksel Saraybosna kilim motifleriyle hazırlanan kırmızı halıda sinema dünyasının önemli isimleri boy gösterdi.
Festival Direktörü Mirsad Purivatra, Ulusal Tiyatro’daki açılış töreninde yaptığı konuşmada, 25 yıl önce ilk kez festivali düzenlediklerinde de bugünkü gibi heyecanlı ve hırslı olduklarını belirterek, geçen zaman içinde bu festivalin Avrupa’nın önemli etkinliklerinden biri haline geldiğini dile getirdi.
Onur ödülleri Inarritu ve Pawlikowski’ye verildi
Festival kapsamında verilen “Saraybosna’nın Kalbi” onur ödülleri bu yıl Oscar ödüllü iki isme takdim edildi. Meksikalı yönetmen, yapımcı ve senarist Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ile Polonyalı yönetmen Pawel Pawlikowski ödüllerini Purivatra’nın elinden aldı.
Pawlikowski, yaptığı konuşmada, Saraybosna’da bulunmaktan duyduğu memnuniyeti dile getirerek, “Saraybosna, zorluklarla dolu cesur ve güçlü bir kalp taşıyor. Bu festival de o kalbin bir atışı.” dedi.
Inarritu ise burada bulunmaktan gurur duyduğunu ifade ederek, “Her zaman buraya gelmek istemiştim. Bugün bu hayalim gerçek oldu. Bu şehir cesaret ve aşk dolu bir şehir.” diye konuştu.
Dün doğum günü olduğunu hatırlatan Inarritu, bu akşam aldığı ödülün kendisi için çok özel bir ödül olduğunu söyledi.
“The Son” filminin prömiyeri
Açılış töreninin ardından Bosna Hersekli yönetmen Ines Tanovic’in “The Son” filminin prömiyeri yapıldı.
“Saraybosna’nın Kalbi” adı verilen festival ödülleri için bu yıl 9 uzun metrajlı, 14 kısa film, 16 belgesel ve 14 öğrenci filmi olmak üzere 53 eser yarışıyor.
Bu yıl festivalde 4 kategoride 4 Türk yapımı film de ödül için yarışacak. Uzun metrajlı film kategorisinde “Kız Kardeşler”, kısa film kategorisinde “Siyah Güneş”, belgesel film kategorisinde “Kraliçe Lear” ve öğrenci filmleri kategorisinde ise “Dünya Tutuluyor” filmleri yer alacak.
23 Ağustos’a kadar sürecek festivalde 270 film izleyiciyle buluşacak.
