Bilgiç, bir soruya verdiği yanıtta, “Fransa, halen Ulusal Meclis ve Senato’da görüşülme aşamasında olan çalışma yasası reformu nedeniyle geçtiğimiz şubat ayından bu yana sokak gösterilerine ve grevlere sahne olmakta, olaylar giderek daha şiddetli bir hal almaktadır. Bu gelişmeleri tabiatıyla yakından takip ediyoruz.” ifadelerini kullandı.
Demokrasilerde diyaloğun gerekliliğine inandıklarını belirten Bilgiç, şunları söyledi:
“Olayların en kısa sürede yatışması için Fransız makamlarına ve gösterilere katılanlara itidal çağrısında bulunuyoruz. Fransız güvenlik güçlerinin göstericilere karşı giderek sertleşen müdahalelerinden de endişe duyuyor, yetkilileri göstericilere karşı orantısız güç kullanmaktan kaçınmaya davet ediyoruz. Sakin bir ortama bir an önce dönülebilmesi ve bu gösterilerin demokratik standartlara uygun barışçıl şekilde gerçekleşmesi için gerekli tüm önlemlerin Fransız makamlarınca süratle alınacağına inanıyoruz.”
