Her yıl geleneksel olarak 5 Mayıs tarihinde kutlanan Hıdrellez Şenlikleri bu yıl da, Osmanlı mezarlığı ile Sezai Suroy parkında kutlandı. Prizren’in yanı sıra Kosova genelinden binlerce kişi sabah erken saatlerden itibaren Karabaş Baba Türbesinin bulunduğu alana akın ettiler.
Bayram coşkusu içerisinde kutlanan Karabaş etkinliklerine Kosovalılar en güzel elbiselerini giyerek şölene katıldı. Günler öncesinden kurulan salıncaklar, atlıkarıncalar ve diğer eğlencelere çocuklar yoğun ilgi gösterdi. Karbaş geleneğinin olmazsa olmazlarından olan aynali kurabiye ve yılın bereketli geçmesi için çamurdan yapılan testiler en çok satılan ürünler arasında yer aldı.
Yazın gelişini kutlayanlar evlerine dönerken kapılarına asmak üzere dalları almayı da ihmal etmedi. Sabah saatlerinden itibaren hıdrellez şenliklerinin düzenlendiği bölgede polis tarafından trafik ulaşıma kapatıldı.
