Atina yakınlarındaki yangın felaketinde hayatını kaybedenlerin sayısının 98’e çıktığı bildirildi.
İtfaiye Teşkilatından yapılan açıklamada, 83 yaşında bir kadının hastanede hayatını kaybettiği belirtildi.
Böylece Yunanistan tarihindeki en ölümcül yangın felaketinde 15’i hastanede olmak üzere yaşamını yitirenlerin sayısı 98’e yükseldi.
Atina’nın yaklaşık 20 kilometre kuzeydoğusundaki Penteli bölgesinde ormanlık alanda çıkan ve şiddetli rüzgarla sahil kenarındaki Mati ve civarındaki bölgelere kısa sürede ulaşan yangında, 187 kişi yaralanmış, yüzlerce ev ve araç kül olmuştu.
Aradan geçen bir ayı aşkın sürede bölgede, hasar tespit çalışmaları ve kullanılamaz hale gelen evlerin yıkım işlemleri sürüyor.
