İşsizler ülkesi olmaya devam eden Yunanistan’da ağustos ayında işsizlik oranı yıl başından bu yana süren gerilemesini sürdürerek yüzde 20,6’ya düştü.
Yunanistan İstatistik Kurumu (ELSTAT) tarafından açıklanan verilere göre, mevsim etkisinden arındırılmış işsizlik oranı aylık ve yıllık bazda düşüşle yüzde 20,6’ya geriledi. Ağustos ayında işsiz sayısı bir önceki aya göre yüzde 1,7 gerilemeyle 984 bin oldu.
Ülkede en yüksek işsizliğin görüldüğü 15-24 yaş arası gençlerde işsizlik oranı, yüzde 40,2’de seyrediyor.
Öte yandan istatistiki belgelerde gerileyen işsizliğin gündelik hayatta bir yansımasının olmadığı belirtiliyor. İşsizlik nedeniyle ülkeden göç eden ailelerin sayısının her geçen gün artarak devam ettiği ifade ediliyor. Bağımsız araştırmalara göre, istatistiklere yansıtılan düşük işsizlik, aslında ülkeden göç ederek yurt dışında çalışmaya gitmesiyle meydana gelmektedir.
