Yunanistan Dışişleri Bakanlığı tarafından yapılan açıklamada, iki ülke dışişleri bakanlıkları arasında devam eden görüşmelerin olumlu ve dostane bir atmosferde geçtiği belirtildi.
Açıklamada, “Teknik gruplar, iki tarafın da çıkarına olacak uygulanabilir bir çözüm için çalışmalarına devam edecek.” ifadelerine yer verildi.
Yunanistan Dışişleri Bakanı Nikos Kocias ve Arnavutluk Dışişleri Bakanı Ditmir Buşati, dün Rodos’ta bakanlar düzeyinde düzenlenen “Güvenlik ve İstikrar Konferansı” kapsamında bir araya gelmişti.
Yunanistan’ın Kathimerini gazetesinin haberinde, İyon Denizi’nde iki ülke arasındaki Münhasır Ekonomik Bölge’nin (MEB) belirlenmesinin yanı sıra Çamerya meselesi, savaş halinin kaldırılması, okul kitaplarında değişiklikler gibi meselelerin de görüşüldüğü belirtilmişti.
İki ülke arasında deniz sınırlarına ilişkin varılan anlaşma 2009 yılında Arnavutluk Anayasa Mahkemesi tarafından iptal edilmişti. Yeniden başlayan görüşmelerin ilki ise geçen nisan ayı sonunda ayında Tiran’da gerçekleşmişti.
