Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Topluluklar Başkanlığı (YTB), Türkiye Mezunlar Birliği (TÜMEB) iş birliğiyle Kosova’nın güneybatısında bulunan Prizren’de iftar programı düzenledi.
“Gönül Coğrafyası Kültür Buluşmaları” projesi kapsamındaki iftara, YTB Başkanı Abdullah Eren, Kosova Bölgesel Kalkınma Bakanı Rasim Demiri, Kamu Yönetimi Bakanı Mahir Yağcılar, Türkiye’nin Priştine Büyükelçisi Çağrı Sakar, Prizren Başkonsolosu Eylem Altunya, TÜMEB Başkanı Amir Kuleta, Türk kurum ve kuruluşlarının temsilcileri, milletvekilleri ve Türkiye mezunları katıldı.
Eren, burada yaptığı konuşmada, Türkiye ile Kosova’nın kültürel ve tarihi yakınlığının başka ülkelerle kıyas edilemeyecek kadar fazla olduğunu söyledi.
Türkiye’nin her zaman Kosova’nın refahı, istikrarı ve huzuru için çalıştığını belirten Eren, “Bugün de Kosova’nın içinde bulunduğu siyasi durum bizleri çok yakından ilgilendiriyor. Biz de kurum olarak, başta burada yaşayan soydaşlarımız olmak üzere Kosova’daki tüm topluluklarla beraber ilişkilerin geliştirilmesine katkı vermeye çalışıyoruz.” dedi.
Kamu Yönetimi Bakanı Yağcılar, Türkiye mezunlarının tüm Balkan ülkelerinde olduğu gibi Kosova’da da üst düzey makamlarda bulunduklarını dile getirerek, “(Türkiye Türkiye’den büyüktür) deyimini bu etkinlikte daha iyi görüyoruz.” ifadesini kullandı.
Büyükelçi Sakar da Türkiye ile Kosova arasındaki mükemmel ilişkileri Türkiye mezunlarından gelecek destekle daha ileri taşımayı hedeflediklerini kaydetti.
Sakar, “Biz Türkiye Büyükelçiliği olarak Türkiye’de okumuş Kosovalı kardeşlerimizin bu yoldaki faaliyetlerini destekleyeceğiz.” diye konuştu.
Yemeğin ardından Şadırvan Meydanı’nda Hacivat ve Karagöz ile çeşitli sahne gösterileri sunuldu.
