Tayland’ın güneyinde Trang, Hua Hin, Surat Thani ve Phuket’teki patlamalarda 3 kişinin öldüğünü, aralarında turistlerin de bulunduğu 35 kişinin yaralandığını söyledi.
Polis Sözcüsü Piyapan Phingmuang, düzenlediği basın toplantısında bombalı saldırıların terör ile bağlantılı olmadığını açıkladı.
Phingmuang, “Tayland’ın kimseyle bölgesel ya da dini sorunu yok. Bunun bir iç sabotaj eylemi olduğunu düşünüyoruz.” ifadesini kullandı.
Cunta lideri Prayut Çan-oça da gazetecilere yaptığı açıklamada, patlamaların arkasında kimin olduğuna dair yorum yapmak istemediğini söyledi. Oça, “Sükuneti, barışı ve güveni sağlamaya odaklanmalıyız.” dedi.
Geçen yıl 17 Ağustos’ta başkent Bangkok’un ticari merkezi Rajprasong’daki Erawan Tapınağı yakınındaki düzenlenen bombalı saldırıda 20 kişi hayatını kaybetmiş, 120 kişi yaralanmıştı.
