ABD öncülüğündeki koalisyonun DAEŞ’e karşı yürüttüğü Doğal Kararlılık Operasyonu Sözcüsü Albay Steve Warren, Rus hava saldırılarının terör örgütü DAEŞ’ten çok Beşşar Esed yönetimine karşı savaşan muhalifleri hedef almaya devam ettiğini söyledi.
Warren, Bağdat’tan telekonferans yoluyla Pentagon’daki gazeteciler için bilgilendirme toplantısı düzenledi. Rusya’nın Suriye’de yaptığı hava saldırıları hakkındaki bir soru üzerine Warren, “Ruslar yoğunluklu olarak Esed güçlerini desteklemek için hava saldırısı yapıyorlar” dedi.
Rusya’nın Suriye’nin batısında hava saldırıları yapmayı sürdürdüğünü belirten Warren, Rusların hava saldırılarının terör örgütü DAEŞ’ten çok Beşşar Esed yönetimine karşı savaşan muhalifleri hedef aldığını dile getirdi. Çok nadir olmakla birlikte Rusya’nın DAEŞ’i de hedef aldığını belirten Warren, “Geçtiğimiz haftalarda Rakka’ya birkaç bomba atmışlardı” dedi.
