Rusya Devlet Başkanı Vladimir Putin, Bulgaristan Cumhurbaşkanı Rumen Radev’e, Osmanlı İmportorluğu’ndan kurtuluşun yıl dönümü dolayısıyla bir kutlama mesajı gönderdi.
“EN İÇTEN DİLEKLERİMLE KUTLUYORUM”
Putin, “Bulgaristan’ın ulusal bayramı ‘Osmanlı’dan Kurtuluş Günü’ dolayısıyla sizi en içten dileklerimle kutluyorum. Bulgaristan’ın özgürlüğü ve bağımsızlığı için kahramanca mücadele eden Rus askerlerin ve Bulgar milislerin elde ettiği bu edebi başarı, halklarımızın hafızalarındaki yerini ilelebet koruyacak.” ifadelerini kullandı.

İLİŞKİLERİN GELİŞMESİ İKİ ÜLKE HALKLARININ DA ÇIKARINA
İki ülke arasındaki kardeşçe dostluk, yardımlaşma gelenekleri ile kültürel ve manevi yakınlığın gelecekte de Rusya-Bulgaristan ilişkilerinin gelişmesi için güvenilir bir zemin oluşturacağını kaydeden Putin, bunun iki ülke halklarının da çıkarına olacağını vurguladı.
3 Mart 1878 yılında Rusya ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu, iki devlet arasındaki savaşı sonlandıran ve Üçüncü Bulgar Krallığı’nın 1908 yılında kurulması için önkoşulları oluşturan Ayastefanos (Yeşilköy) Barış Antlaşması’nı imzalamıştı. Bu özel günde, Bulgaristan ve Rusya’da 1877-1878 Osmanlı-Rus Savaşı’nda hayatını kaybeden askerler anılıyor.
