Prizren Belediyesi Ekonomi ve Maliye müdürü Ertan Simitçi ve müdürlük temsilcileri İpek Belediyesini ziyaret ederek, Maliye Müdürü Jeton Abazaj ile görüşmelerde bulunuldu.
Özellikle bütçe planlaması, mali yapı ve mali denetim, şeffaflık yönetimi, yerel gelirler ve emlak vergisi hizmetleri gibi birçok konu hakkında fikir alışverişi gerçekleştirildi. Ziyaret esnasında İpek Belediyesi idari çalışmalarını ve vatandaşlık hizmetleri çalışmalarını yerinde ziyaret ederek, belediye memurları ile görüşmelerde bulunuldu.
Prizren ve İpek belediyeleri birçok ortak ve benzer doğa zenginliklerine sahip olmakla beraber, özellikle belediyenin ekonomik kalkınma stratejilerinin hazırlanma süreçlerinde birçok ortak proje ve çalışmaların yürütülmesi imkanı bulunmaktadır. Bu konuda iki belediye arasında işbirliğinin güçlenmesi, fikir ve bilgi paylaşımı ve deneyim aktarımı gibi ortak çalışmaların yapılması bu vesile ile Şubat ayı içerisinde İpek Belediyesi temsilcilerinin Prizren Belediyesini ziyaret etmeleri öngörüldü.
Yerel Yönetimler Bakanlığı tarafından üst üste 2017 ve 2018 yıllarında İpek ve Prizren belediyelerini en iyi performansa layık görülürken, her iki belediye yarım milyon euro gibi bir destek kazanma hakkına sahip olmuştu.
