Kosova meclisi ile Priştine belediyesi arasındaki alanda yer alan meydanın açılışı Priştine Belediye Başkanı Shpend Ahmeti tarafından yapıldı.
Eski Yugoslavya döneminde yaptırılan “ kardeşlik- birlik” heykelinin dokunulmadığı meydanda, çevre düzenleme çalışmaları bu yılın 13 mart tarihinde başladı. Bazı sorunlar nedeniyle uzayan çalışmaların sonunda meydan yepyeni bir görünüme kavuştu.
Meydanda tadilat ve çevre düzenleme çalışmaları 300 bin Euro’ya mal oldu.
