Türkiye’nin ve dünyanın önde gelen hava yollarından Türk Hava Yolları, bugün Makedonya’nın başkenti Üsküp’te yeni ofis açılışını gerçekleştirdi.

Bugünkü açılışa, Devlet Bakanı Furkan Çako, THY Üsküp Müdürü İlker Baydar, T.C Makedonya Büyükelçisi Ömür Şölendil, Üsküp Belediye Başkanı Kotse Trayanovski, Anayasa Mahkeme Üyesi Salih Murat, THY Doğu Avrupa ve Balkanlar Başkan Yardımcısı Mert Dorman, MATTO Başkanı Tuna Eyüp Kahveci, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Müdürü Mehmet Samsakçı, TRT Makedonya Temsilcisi Bekim Muhtareviç, İBU Rektörü İsmail Kocayusufoğlu, bir çok işadamı ve davetli katıldı.
“Hedef Makedonya halkına daha iyi hizmet vermek”
Yeni ofis açılışında konuşan THY Üsküp Müdürü İlker Baydar, “Bu yıl 18.ci senemizi kutluyoruz. 1998 yılında haftalık iki seferle başladığımız Üsküp-İstanbul uçuşlarımıza bugün günlük 2 seferle devam etmekte” dedi.
İlker Baydar, yolcu artışı, kapasite artışının günden güne arttığını ve Makedonya halkının bugüne kadar göstermiş olduğu bu teveccüh neticesinde kazanmış oldukları başarıyı taçlandırmak istediklerini belirtti.
Baydar, Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin 2023 hedefleri doğrultusunda şirket vizyonunu buna göre şekillendirerek, bütün THY ailesi olarak, burada Türk Hava Yollarının Makedonya temsilciliği olarak bu hedeflere ilerleme doğrultusunda Makedonya halkına teşekkürlerini daha iyi hizmet vererek bildirmek istediklerini vurguladı.
THY Doğu Avrupa ve Balkanlar Başkan Yardımcısı Mert Dorman, “1933 yılında 5 uçakla başladığımız yolculuğumuza özellikle 2003 yılından sonra hem hizmet hem de servis kalitesi, ürün kalitesi anlamında dünya ölçeğine yükselmiş bir hava yolu olarak Cumhuriyetimizin kuruluşunun 100. Yılı şerefine 2023 yılında 500 uçak ve 120 milyon yolcu hedeflerimiz doğrultusunda büyümeye devam etmekteyiz” açıklamalarında bulundu.
Mert Dorman, 2 hafta önce İstanbul-Dubrovnik direkt uçuşları başladığını ve aynı şekilde Temmuz ayında da Romanya’nın Cluj şehrine uçuşların başlayacağını belirterek, bu bölgenin Türkiye için çok önemli olduğunu söyledi.

Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Üsküp Büyükelçisi Ömür Şölendil, “Her gittiğimiz yerde yüzümüzü ağartan Türk Hava Yollarının bu yeni ofisininde hayırlı olmasını diliyorum” dedi.
Ömür Şölendil, “Son yıllarda büyük bir atılım göstererek dünyanın en önde gelen hava yolları şirketlerinin belki ilk başlarında yer alan Türk Hava Yollarımız bizim için bir iftihar kaynağıdır” diye konuştu.
Ömür Şölendil, ayrıca, Dışişleri bakanlığına girdiği 1976 yılından bu yana Türk Hava Yollarının uçtuğu her yere Türk Hava Yolları ile uçtuğunu, 2008 yılında Libye’da Büyükelçi iken Bingazi uçuşunun açılışında bulunduğunu ve 2012 yılındada Romanya’da büyükelçi iken Köstenci’ye uçuş açılışında bulunduğunu söyledi.
Açılışın sonunda Büyükelçi Ömür Şölendil, Devlet Bakanı Furkan Çako, Anayasa Mahkeme Üyesi Salih Murat ve Üsküp Belediye Başkanı Kotse Trayanovski’ye hediyeler takdim edildi ve ardından kurdeleni kesimiyle açılış yapıldı.
THY’nin bugünkü törenine uzun dönem Efes basketbol takımının başarısı için ter döken Makedonya’nın en iyi basketbolculardan biri Petar Naumovski de katıldı.
