Makedonya Cumhurbaşkanı Gyorge İvanov, Avrupa Komisyonu toplantısı öncesi Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, ABD Başkanı Donald Tramp, NATO Genel Sekreteri Jens Stoltenberg ve AB Konseyi Başkanı Donald Tusk’a mektup göndererek Makedonya’daki krizin çözülmesi için Tiran platformunun kınanması ve geri çekilmesini istedi.
İvanov, liderlere gönderdiği mektupta, “Platform yabancı ülkede, yabancı bir devlet adamının kabinesinde kabul edilen seçim sonrası bir belge. Sözkonusu platform Makedonya’nın egemenliğini ve bağımsızlığını tehlikeye sokmakla birlikte başka bir ülkeye boyun eğme ve bağımlıklık konumuna getiriyor. Platformun uygulanması devletin üniter karakterini tehlikeye sokacak Anayasa değişiklikleri gerektiriyor” ifadeleri yer aldı.
