Edirne Valisi Günay Özdemir, aşırı yağışların ardından Bulgaristan’ın baraj kapaklarını açtığı yönündeki iddialara ilişkin, “Şu anda ciddi bir durum yok, gelişmeleri takip ediyoruz. Endişelenecek bir durum söz konusu değil.” dedi.
Özdemir, AA muhabirine yaptığı açıklamada, Bulgaristan’da aşırı yağışlar nedeniyle nehir ve barajlardaki su miktarının yükseldiğini bununla ilgili de Bulgar yetkililerin, Türk makamlarına bilgi verdiğini belirtti.
Meriç ve Tunca nehirlerinde taşkın söz konusu olmadığını ifade eden Özdemir, “600 metreküp civarında bir yükselme bekleniyor ancak bu bir risk oluşturmuyor. Şu anda önemli bir durum yok, gelişmeleri takip ediyoruz. Bugün ve yarın erken saatlere kadar bir yükselme bekliyoruz su seviyesinde. Ancak bu yükselmenin risk oluşturmayacağını öngörüyoruz. Endişelenecek bir durum söz konusu değil.” ifadelerini kullandı.
Vali Özdemir, Meriç Nehri’ndeki su seviyesinin 130 metreküp/saniye, Tunca Nehri’ndeki su seviyesinin 12 metreküp/saniye olduğunu kaydetti.
