Birleşmiş Milletler Eğitim, Bilim ve Kültür Örgütünün (UNESCO), 1999 yılında ilan ettiği Uluslararası Ana Dil Günü, Bulgaristan’ın güneydoğusunda, Yunanistan sınırına yakın Fotinovo (Çakırlar) köyünde kutlandı.
1921 yılında kurulan ve Bulgarca, Türkçe ve İngilizce eğitim veren “Hristo Smirnenski” okulunda düzenlenen etkinlikte, 96 öğrenci hep birlikte “Ana dilim Türkçe” adlı şiiri okudu.
Geleneksel kıyafetler giyen Türk ve Bulgar öğrenciler, şarkılar ve danslarla Türkçeye olan sevgilerini anlattı.
Etkinliğe Türk ve Bulgar Kadınları Dostluk Derneği üyeleri, yetkililer ve yöre halkı katıldı.
Etkinliğin şeref konuğu Türkiye’nin Filibe Muavin Başkonsolosu Mehmet Ufuk Sağlam, burada yaptığı konuşmada, “Soydaşlarımızı ülkemize bağlayan Türk dili öğrenimini, önemli bir unsur olarak görüyorum. Bu unsurun geliştirilmesi ve korunması için hem Türkiye olarak hem de Başkonsolosluk olarak desteğimizi sürdüreceğiz.” dedi.
Okulun Bulgarca ve Türkçe öğretmeni Zekiye Hasan, AA muhabirine açıklamasında, “Bulgarca ve Türkçe öğretimimizi yıllardır el ele sürdürüyoruz” dedi.
Hasan, çocuklara İngilizce de öğrettiklerini belirterek “Gayemiz, bu okulda çocuklarımıza dilleri sevdirmek, dillere karşı sevgiyi aşılamak ve öz güvenlerini artırmaktır.” diye konuştu.
Güney Bulgaristan Türkçe Öğretmenler Birliği Başkanı ve Filibe Üniversitesi Öğretim Üyesi Harun Bekir, Türk kökenli öğrencilerin ülkenin resmi dili Bulgarcanın yanı sıra ana dilleri Türkçeyi de iyi bir şekilde öğrenmelerinin önemine vurgu yaptı.
Bekir, “Ana dilimiz, bizim kimliğimizi oluşturan en önemli unsurlardan biridir.” dedi.
Okulun 6. sınıf öğrencisi Elif Aydın Çalım, “Bulgarca, Türkçe ve İngilizce dil bilgisi ve edebiyat dersleri veren bu okul aslında bütün etnik gruplara kucak açan bir okul.” dedi.
Öğrencilerden Candan Hüseyin ve Elis Çalım da Türkçe, Bulgarca ve İngilizceyi severek öğrendiklerini söyledi.
Etkinlik sonrası Türk yemeklerinin ikram edildiği resepsiyon verildi.
