Türkiye A Milli Erkek Basketbol Takımı ve Fenerbahçe’nin eski başantrenörü Bogdan Tanjevic, FIBA “Hall of Fame” (Şöhretler Müzesi) üyesi oldu.
Karadağ Basketbol Federasyonundan yapılan açıklamada, Karadağlı başarılı antrenör Tanjevic’in basketbola önemli katkılar sağlayan ve uluslararası alanda önemli başarılar yakalayan isimlerin onurlandırıldığı FIBA “Hall of Fame”in üyesi olduğu bildirildi.
Ülkede ilk kez bir spor insanının söz konusu üyeliğe seçildiği ifade edilen açıklamada, Tanjevic’e 30 Ağustos’ta Çin’in başkenti Pekin’de düzenlenecek törende üyeliğinin takdim edileceği kaydedildi.
13 Şubat 1947 tarihinde Karadağ’ın Pljevlja şehrinde doğan Tanjevic, antrenörlük kariyerine henüz 24 yaşındayken eski Yugoslavya’nın önemli kulüplerinden Bosna Basketbol Kulübünde (KK Bosna) başladı. 1979 yılında Bosna ile Avrupa şampiyonluğu kazanan Tanjevic, aynı kulübün başında 2 kez de Yugoslavya şampiyonluğu yaşadı.
2007-2010 yıllarında çalıştığı Fenerbahçe ile 2 kez Türkiye şampiyonu olan Tanjevic, iki dönem çalıştırdığı Türkiye A Milli Basketbol Takımı ile 2010 yılındaki FIBA Dünya Şampiyonası’nda ikinciliği elde etti. Tanjevic, İtalya’yı çalıştırdığı dönemde 1999 Avrupa Basketbol Şampiyonası’nda şampiyonluğa ulaştı.
Tanjevic’in yanı sıra Alonzo Mourning, Janeth Arcain, Margo Dydek, Atanas Golomeev, Fabricio Oberto, Jose Piculin Ortiz, Mohsen Medhat Warda, Jiri Zidek, Natalia Hejkova ve Mou Zuoyun FIBA “Hall of Fame”e üye oldu.
