Ankara’dan Türk vatandaşlarına vize muafiyetinin tanınmaması durumunda Türkiye’nin AB ile yaptığı mülteci anlaşmasından çekileceği uyarıları Alman medyasında yankı buldu. Alman Der Spiegel dergisi, “Türkiye-AB anlaşması çökerse Yunan adalarında kaos yaşanır” uyarısında bulundu.
Söz konusu anlaşmanın arkasındaki “beyin” olarak nitelenen Avrupa İstikrar Girişimi (ESİ) Başkanı Gerald Knaus “Derhal önlem alınmazsa anlaşma çökecek” uyarısında bulundu. Knaus, Yunanistan’daki aşırı kalabalık olan kampların patlamak üzere olduğunu, böyle bir durumda bir kaos yaşanacağını söyledi.

Gerald Knaus, Türkiye ile anlaşmanın çökmesi durumunda yüz binlerce mültecinin denizden ve kuzey sınırından Yunanistan’a ulaşacağını belirterek “Balkanlar, mülteciler, kaçakçılar, sınır muhafızları ve askerler için bir muharebe alanına dönüştürülecek. Bu da, Avrupa’nın iltica politikasının sonu olabilir” uyarısını da yaptı. Yazıda Ağustos ve Eylül’de 6 bin 527 mültecinin Ege’den geçtiği, bu rakamın Mayıs ve Haziran’daki düzeyin bir kattan fazla olduğu belirtildi.
