AB Komisyonu Başkanı Jean-Claude Juncker 25 Şubat Pazar günü AB’nin Genişleme Stratejisini tanıtmak amacıyla çıkacağı Batı Balkan turnesine Makedonya ziyareti ile başlayacak. Makedonya’nın Avrupa Birliği’nden Sorumlu Başbakan Yardımcısı Buyar Osmani, Juncker’in Strasbourg’daki Stratejinin sunumundan kısa süre sonra yaptığı ziyaretin hükümetleri yeni kısa hedeflere ulaşmak için çabalarını iki katına çıkarmaya teşvik edeceğini söyledi.
Avrupa Birliği Büyükelçisi Samuel Zbogar ise AB Komisyonu Başkanı Juncker’in ziyaretini kendi başına bir mesaj olarak değerlendirirken, “Avrupa Komisyonu, Stratejisi’nde Batı Balkan ülkelerinin yerinin AB’de olduğunu açık bir şekilde belirtti. Ziyaret AB yolunu kısaltacak reformları hızlandıramak için bir mesaj taşıyor. Birliğin kapıları açıktır ve zaman çizelgesi 2025’dir. Bu süreçte her ülke diğerini geçebilir” ifadekerini kullandı.
