ASALA’nın şehit ettiği Büyükelçi Balkar, Sırbistan’da anıldı

ASALA terör örgütünün 9 Mart 1983’te düzenlediği silahlı saldırıda hayatını kaybeden Türkiye’nin eski Belgrad Büyükelçisi Ahmet Galip Balkar’ın ölümünün 37’nci yılı dolayısıyla tören düzenlendi.

Büyükelçi Balkar’ın şehit edildiği yerdeki anıtta düzenlenen anma törenine, Türkiye’nin Belgrad Büyükelçisi Tanju Bilgiç ve büyükelçilik görevlilerinin yanı sıra Sırbistan Dışişleri Bakanlığından da temsilciler katıldı.

Büyükelçi Bilgiç, burada yaptığı konuşmada, terörün dini, milleti ve sınırı olmadığını vurgulayarak, Türkiye ile Sırbistan’ın terörle mücadelede iyi iş birliğine sahip iki ülke olduğunu söyledi.

Şehit edilen Balkar’ın bir toplantıya yetişmeye çalıştığı sırada trafik ışıklarında saldırıya uğradığını hatırlatan Bilgiç, onu tanıma imkanı bulmuş insanların bugün dahi onun hakkında çok güzel şeyler anlattığını söyledi.

Törene katılanlar, daha sonra anıtın bulunduğu yere karanfil bıraktı.

Türkiye’nin Belgrad Büyükelçiliği binası yakınlarında 9 Mart 1983’te ASALA terör örgütü mensubu iki saldırgan tarafından Büyükelçi Balkar’a otomatik silahlarla saldırı düzenlenmiş, saldırıda ağır yaralanan Balkar iki gün sonra hayatını kaybetmişti. Saldırı sırasında olay yerinden geçen ve kendisine kurşun isabet eden bir öğrenci de yaşamını yitirmişti.

Saldırganlar Kirkor Levonyan ile Raffi Aleksandr, 9 Mart 1984’te yakalanmış ve 20’şer yıl hapis cezası almıştı.
