Avrupa Irkçılıkla Mücadele Ağı (ENAR) Başkanı Amel Yacef, Avrupa Birliği (AB) Adalet Divanının başörtüsü kararına ilişkin, “Bu, Müslüman yasağından başka bir şey değildir.” ifadesini kullandı.
Avrupa Birliği (AB ülkelerinde faaliyet gösteren ve üyeleri Müslümanlardan oluşan sivil toplum kuruluşlarının (STK) bir araya geldiği Brüksel merkezli Avrupa Irkçılıkla Mücadele Ağı (ENAR) Başkanı Amel Yacef, AB Adalet Divanının başörtüsü kararına yönelik açıklama yaptı.
Kararın, özel sektörde dinlerine uygun giyinen Müslüman kadınlara yönelik ayrımcılığı yasal hale getireceğini belirten Yacef, “Bu, Müslüman yasağından başka bir şey değildir.” dedi.
Yacef, inanç özgürlüğünün ve iş piyasalarına erişimin temel insan hakları olduğunu anımsatarak, “Tüm başörtülü Müslüman kadınları etkili biçimde iş yerlerinden uzak tutabilecek endişe verici bir karar.” değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Mahkemenin karardaki yorumunun kabul edilemeyeceğini ifade eden Yacef, bunun işverenlerin müşterilerinin taleplerini çalışanlarının temel haklarının üzerinde tutmalarına neden olacağını ve işverenlere ayrımcılık yapma yetkisi sağlayacağını kaydetti.
Yacef, AB Adalet Divanının Avrupa’daki Müslüman kadınları “göz göre göre” dikkate almadığını, Müslüman kadınların Avrupa’da zaten ciddi sıkıntılar yaşadıklarını, bu kararla durumlarının daha da zorlaşacağını bildirdi.
