Kadınlar ve gençler özellikle kendilerini hedefleyen yardımlara ihtiyaç duyuyor ve yardımlar acil durumun başından sonuna kadar devam etmelidir” dedi.
Uzayan kriz durumlarında ve toparlanmanın erken gerçekleştiği birçok bağlamda, temel ve kapsayıcı acil kadın sağlığı ve aile planlaması hizmetlerine erişim imkanı olmamaktadır. Cinsiyete bağlı şiddet mağdurlarının tedavisine yönelik hizmetler ya hiç yoktur ya da çok azdır. Cinsel yolla bulaşan hastalıkların tedavisi ve önlenmesi için yapılanlar ise sınırlıdır. Bunların yanı sıra, hizmet sağlayıcıların çoğu kriz durumlarında cinsel sağlık ve üreme sağlığı hakkında eğitimli değildir. Bunlar göz önüne alındığında, dünyanın en yüksek anne ölüm oranlarına sahip on ülkeden sekizinin aynı zamanda çatışmalardan etkilenen, can güvenliğinin olmadığı ülkeler olması tesadüf değildir.
