Şampiyonlar Ligi’nin formatında yapılacak değişiklikler gündemdeki yerini koruyadursun, Avrupa’da başka bir yeni futbol ligi için de girişimlerin başladığı ortaya çıktı.
UEFA, Avrupa kupalarına bir üçüncü ligi de eklemeye hazırlanırken, bu kez ülkeler bazında yeni bir ortaklıkla, yeni bir lig kurulacağı belirlendi.
Kosova ve Arnavutluk, birlikte bir lig oluşturmak için çalışmalara başladı. İki ülkenin kulüplerinin birlikte yer alacağı bir kupa turnuvası için yasal girişimler resmen start aldı.
FIFA-UEFA’ya başvuru yapıldı
İki Balkan ülkesi, konuyla ilgili hazırlığını yaparak dosyasını hazırlayıp, kupa turnuvası için FIFA ve UEFA’ya resmen başvurdu, yetkili organlardan gelecek yanıtı beklemeye başladı.
Kazanan ekip Avrupa Ligi’ne gidecek
Arnavutluk ve Kosova’nın yaptığı başvuruda UEFA’yı direkt olarak ilgilendiren hususlar da bulunuyor. Çünkü iki ülkenin aldığı karara göre bu turnuvanın galibi olacak takım UEFA Avrupa Ligi’ne katılım hakkı kazanacak.
Sırbistan’ı kızdıran girişim
Gerçekleştirilen girişimin, Kosova’yı tanımayan Sırbistan’ı kızdırdığı belirtildi. Sırbistan, Tiran ve Priştina’yı sık sık Büyük Arnavutluk oluşturmakla itham ediyor.
İskandinavya benzerini yaptı
Kosova-Arnavutluk ortaklığı, bir süre önce İskandinavya’da oluşturulan özel futbol liginden sonra bu konuda yapılan benzer bir girişim olarak dikkati çekti.
En iyiler için oluşturdular
Royal League adlı organizasyonda Danimarka, İsveç ve Norveç’in takımları, kendi ligleri bittikten sonra ilk dört sırada tamamlayan ekipleriyle bu lige katılarak mücadele ediyordu.
