Sırbistan Cumhurbaşkanı Aleksandar Vucic, Balkanlar’da yaşanacak olası ihtilaf ve çatışmaların bölgedeki tüm ülkeleri 100 yıl geriye götüreceğini söyledi.
Almanya Başbakanı Angela Merkel bugün başkent Berlin’de Sırbistan Cumhurbaşkanı Aleksandar Vucic’i ağırladı.
Görüşmeden önce Merkel ile gazetecilere açıklama yapan Vucic , Almanya ile ikili ilişkilerde büyük ilerleme sağladıklarını ve ticaret hacminin büyüdüğünü ifade ederek, ülkesinin AB üyesi olabilmesi için gelecekle ilgili önemli kararlar vermesi gerektiğini ifade etti.
Sırbistan Cumhurbaşkanı, ”Balkanlar’da yaşanacak olası ihtilaf ve çatışmalar bölgedeki tüm ülkeleri 100 yıl geriye götürür. Bu nedenle gerginliklerin, krizlerin ve istikrarsızlıkların ortadan kaldırılması için her türlü çabayı harcayacağız.” dedi.
Almanya Şansölyesi Merkel de Bulgaristan’ın AB Konseyi Dönem Başkanlığını üstleneceği ve Balkan ülkelerini ilgilendiren konulara ağırlık vereceği için Sırbistan ile yakın ilişki içinde olacaklarını belirtti.
Sırbistan’ın reform çabalarını da takdir eden Merkel, bu çabaların ülkenin ekonomisine de yansıdığını kaydetti.
