Bulgaristan, Avrupa Komisyonu’na mülteci baskısı ile başa çıkmak için 160 milyon avro değerinde yardım için resmi talebini gönderdi.
Bulgaristan İçişleri Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanan belgede beş proje tasvir edilmiştir. Bunlar, sınır kontrolü için teknik araçların yenilenmesi, gözetim imkanlarının genişlenmesi, iletişim ve bilişim sistemlerinin modernize edilmesi ve iltica alanında milli kapasitenin pekiştirilmesi ile ilgilidir.
Finansman için talep, AB’nin “İç Güvenlik” ve “İltica, Göç ve Entegrasyon” fonlarına yöneliktir. Brüksel’deki Komisyon’un talebi ele alması ve kısa sürede talep edilen kaynakları onaylaması bekleniyor.
