Yarın başlayacak denetim operasyonu kasım ayının sonuna kadar devam edecek. Operasyonun ülke genelinde üç aşamada gerçekleştirileceği bildirildi. 1-10 Kasım tarihleri arasında trafik polisleri bisiklet sürücülerini ve at arabalarını yolda durdurup kontrol edecekler. Operasyonun ikinci aşaması 11-20 Kasım tarihleri arasında sürücülerin yaya geçidini kullanan yayalara karşı sürücülerin tutumuna ve yayaların güvenli bir şekilde karşıya geçmek için yaya geçidini kullanıp kullanmamasına yönelik olacaktır.21-30 Kasım tarihleri arasında otomobillerin teknik kontrolü yapılacak.
Otomobil kış lastiklerinin minimum derinliği 4 mm olmalı ve farlar sürekli yanmalıdır. Farlar % 100 çalışmazsa, hasar derecesine bağlı olarak cezalar uygulanacak. Lastikler, gereklilikleri karşılamazsa, 50 leva para cezası uygulanacak.
1 Kasım – 31 Mart tarihleri arasındaki geçen kış döneminde meydana gelen trafik kazalarında toplam 221 kişi hayatını kaybetti. Bu rakam, öncekinden 28 daha azdır.
