“Metalurg” Karate Kulübü sporcusu Azis İsmail Almanya, Coburg’ta düzenlenen Birinci Karate Premier liginde Makedonya’yı temsil eden karatecilerden en büyük sürprize imza attı.
Azis İsmail Bronz madalya için Slovakya’dan Matuş Lieskovski ile yarıştı. Mücadeleyi kaybetmesine rağmen Azis ismail çok büyük başarıya ulaştı. İsmail, 12 – 15 tarihleri arasında Endonezya’da düzenlenecek Gençler Karate Dünya Şampiyonasına katılmak ve Milli takımda yer almak için Petar Zaborski ile yarışacak.
İsmail yarı finalde Fransız rakibi Korentin Seguy ile mücadele etti. Ancak finale katılmaya hak kazanan taraf fransız sporcu oldu. “Metalurg” Karatecisi Azis İsmail ilk turda Polonya’lı rakibi Kamil Rosinski’yi 4:0 skorla mağlup etti. Ardından Danimarkalı Ludvig Abil’I 1-0, Çeh Petr Kuçiçka’yı 2-1, yarı finale hak kazanma mücadelesinde ise Bosna Hersek’li Veselko Brkiç’i 2-1 skorla yendi.
Beş kez Makedonya şampiyonluğunun yanı sıra uluslararası alanda da başarılara imza atmış sakin ruhlu, hırslı, bir o kadar da çalışkan bir delikanlı. Şimdiye kadar spor hayatında onlarca takdirname, madalyonlar kazanmış. Azis’in hırsı, karate sevgisi ve mücadelesi başarılarının aynı hızla devam edeceğini göstermektedir.
