İçişleri Bakanlığı Basın Sözcüsü Alexander Marakovits, kamyonet içinde bulunan cesetlerin sayısının 70’in üzerinde olduğunu doğruladı. Aralarında kadın ve çocukların da bulunduğu cesetlerin teşhis edildiğini belirten Marakovits, ölenlerin kimliklerinin ve kesin sayının Burgerland polisi tarafından açıklanacağını ifade etti.
Çürüme noktasına geldiği belirtilen cesetlerin kamyonetten çıkarılabilmesi için soğutma işlemi yapıldığı belirtildi.
