Aralarında çocukların ve bir hamile kadının da bulunduğu düzensiz göçmenler, zaman zaman yağmurların etkili olduğu başkent Atina’da havaların da soğumasıyla daha zorlu bir yaşam mücadelesi veriyor.
İki aydır Eleona kampı dışında çadırda yaşadığını söyleyen 30 yaşındaki Afganistanlı Muhammed Cevad, şartların çok kötü ve en büyük sıkıntılarının ise yemek bulamama olduğunu söyledi.
Cevad, bazı ailelerin 4 aydır kamp dışında çadırlarda yaşadığını belirterek, “Burada sadece kampta kalanlara yemek veriliyor, bize yemek verilmiyor. Yemek ihtiyacımızı, şehrin merkezinde bulunan evsizlere yemek dağıtan bir kilisede karşılıyoruz.” ifadelerini kullandı.
“Bize sürekli beklememiz gerektiği söyleniyor”
Geçen hafta yağan şiddetli yağmurun ardından bir yetkilinin kendilerini ziyaret ettiğini anlatan Cevad, “Bize sürekli beklememiz gerektiği söyleniyor. Yetkiliye, ‘kampta 18 aile için yer olduğunu, neden hala dışarıda kaldığımızı’ sorduk. Kimse net bir cevap vermiyor sadece beklememiz gerektiği söyleniyor.” diye konuştu.
Irkçılığa ve Faşist Tehdite Karşı Hareket (KEERFA) tarafından yapılan açıklamada, söz konusu ailelerin yaşadığı sıkıntılara dikkati çekilerek, “Bu insanlar kampta yaşamak istiyor, çadırlarda değil. Hükümet ve Atina Belediyesi, derhal bu soruna çözüm bulsun. Bu insanlar, her gün yoldan geçen araçlar tarafından ezilme tehlikesi yaşıyor.” ifadelerine yer verildi.
