Kosova ile Sırbistan arasında kalıcı barış anlaşması sağlanmadan , iki ülke arasındaki sınırların da belirlenmesinin şart olduğuna dikkat çeken Thaçi, sınırlar belirlenmedikçe, karşılıklı tanımanın da imkansız olduğunu kaydetti.
Amrika sesi’ne verdiği mülakatta ise Cumhurbaşkanı Hashim Thaçi, sınırlarda değişiklik ya da düzeltme yapılması hakkında henüz somut bir adım atılmadığını, konunun henüz ele alınmöadığını belirtti. Thaçi, diyalogun devam edebilmesi için Kosova’nın, ABD ve AB’nin de talep ettikleri Sırbistan’a uyguladığı gümrük vergisinin iptal etmesi gerektiğini vurguladı.
