Ağustos ayında kurtarma paketi programından çıkan ülkenin 2019 bütçesine karşı gösteri yapan çalışanlar, kemer sıkma önlemleri kapsamında önemli ölçüde azalan asgari ücrette artış ve toplu sözleşme haklarının geri verilmesi için yürüdü.
Kent merkezinin trafiğe kapatıldığı gösteri, yaklaşık 3 saat sürdü ve olaysız sona erdi.

Yunanistan’da 8 yıl süren kurtarma paketi çerçevesinde alınan kemer sıkma önlemleri nedeniyle çalışanların ve emeklilerin maaşlarında önemli oranda düşüşler olmuştu.
