Maarif okulları açılşı için Makedonya’ya gelen Türkiye Maarif Vakfı Başkanı Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Makedonya Cumhurbaşkanı Gyorge İvanov’u ziyaret etti. Ziyarete T.C. Üsküp Büyükelçisi Tülin Erkal Kara, Maarif Vakfı Mütevelli Heyeti üyesi Prof. Dr. Aşkın Asan, AK Parti Balıkesir milletvekili Sema Kırcı, Maarif Vakfı Balkanlar Koordinatörü Salih Sağır, Maarif Vakfı Makedonya Direktörü Mustafa Dillioğlu katıldı.
Maarif Vakfı tarafından yapılan açıklamada, “Vakıf Başkanımız ve beraberindeki heyet, Makedonya Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanı George Ivanov’u makamında ziyaret etti. Ziyarette Vakfımızın Makedonya’daki çalışmaları hakkında istişarelerde bulunuldu” ifadelerine yer verildi.
Görüşmenin ardından Maarif Vakfı Başkanı Birol Akgün ve Cumhurbaşkanı Gyorge İvanov birbirlerine hediye takdim etti.
