İsrail Polis Sözcüsü Luba Samri yaptığı yazılı açıklamada, gece saatlerinde Doğu Kudüs’te “Kamu düzenini bozan son eylemlere katıldıkları ve taş attıkları şüphesiyle” 6’sı çocuk 12 Filistinlinin gözaltına alındığını belirtti.
İsrail’in son iki haftada Kudüs’te 174 Filistinliyi gözaltına aldığı kaydedilmişti.
İsrail Güvenlik Komitesi, Başbakan Netanyahu başkanlığında düzenlediği toplantıda, İsrail askerlerine “taş ve molotof kokteyli atan” Filistinlilere ateş açma yetkisi verilmesi, 4 ila 20 yıl arasında hapis cezası ve çocuklara para cezalarının kesilmesini içeren kararlar almıştı.
