Bulgaristan Dışişleri Bakanlığı, Yunanistan ve Türkiye’deki yetkilileri Arda ve Meriç nehirlerinin su seviyesinin tehlikeli oranda yükselmesi beklendiğine dair notayla uyardı.
Yunan yetkililere yapılan uyarıda önümüzdeki günlerde Arda nehrinin havzasında beklenen yoğun yağışlar nedeniyle İvailovgrad (Ortaköy) Barajı’nın taşma olasılığına dikkat çekildi.
Gelen nehir akıntısından faydalanmak için İvaylovgrad Su Termik Santrali 24 saatlik bir çalışma rejimine geçti, bu yüzden Arda Nehri’nin barajdan sonraki akışı saniyede 300 metreküpü geçecektir.
Türk yetkilileri, Svilengrad (Cisr-i Mustafapaşa) çevresindeki Meriç nehrinin seviyesinin uyarı eşiğinin altında olmasına rağmen Taşkın Erken Uyarı Sistemi kapsamında Çarşamba ve Perşembe günü su miktarının sarı ve turuncu uyarı eşiklerini geçmesi ve “kırmızı alarm” seviyesine yükselmesi olasılığı olduğuna dair uyarıldı.
Notalarda Bulgaristan Dışişleri Bakanlığı’nın Çevre ve Su Bakanlığı temsilcileri ile sürekli olarak irtibat halinde olduğu ve gerekirse iki ülkenin Sofya’daki büyükelçiliklerini bilgilendireceği belirtildi.
